vSphere is the leading virtualization platform that combines CPU, storage and networking resources into computing infrastructures and manages these as a unified operating environment.
The two main components of vSphere are ESXi and vCenter Server. ESXi is the virtualization platform to create and run VMs and virtual apps and vCenter Server is the service through which multiple hosts are managed, connected in a network and pool host resources.
